Fotografia Europea 2020’s call is open: join the new edition entitled Fantasies
Fantasy is the freest of the faculties; in fact, it doesn’t even have to concern itself with what it has thought up. Stories, rules, inventions to be held in Reggio Emilia from April 17th to May 24th. The call is open to European or European-based artists and curators to submit projects that creatively explore the new theme of the festival and it will run until Monday 16 December 2019 at 12 CEST.
Born in 2015 to give the possibility to deal with an international festival, our Call is now a consolidated appointment. It’s an opportunity to increase visibility in Italy and not only: after Fotografia Europea exhibition, many artists have received important awards also abroad.
The Festival has always supported the public call and has always been committed to enhancing the winning projects with site-specific research, experimenting together with the artist.
The jury – composed by Walter Guadagnini, artistic director of the festival; Maria Pia Bernardoni – curator international projects for Lagos PhotoFestival, Nigeria and Oliva Maria Rubio – director of the Master PhotoEspaña – will select the most interesting projects, that will become part of the Festival program.
Prize
The proponent of every selected project will receive a fee of € 2500 for the conception and production of the exhibition.
