SlowArt Productions presents the annual group thematic exhibition, A Show of Heads. Open to all artists working in any media, this exhibition will include all interpretations and portrayals of the human head, from the traditional to the abstract and conceptual. All visions of the head, including partial and multiple heads, will be reviewed and considered.
Exhibition
Winning artists will be featured in group exhibition on the Limner Gallery web site, November 1 – 30, 2020 and will also be maintained on the site thereafter until June of 2021. The exhibition will also be published in a SlowArt print magazine that will be distributed to Limner Gallery collectors and metropolitan bookstores. A digital version of the magazine will also distributed and promoted online.
Eligibility and Restrictions
The competition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of artwork that can be represented by an image online and in print are eligible. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. There is no size limitation.
Exhibition Terms
Works in the exhibition may be exhibited as for sale, or for exhibition only. Online sales managed by the gallery will be subject to a 25% gallery commission. Artist email contact and website will be published in the magazine. Any works sold from direct contact through the publication to the artist will have no gallery commission. Sale price is determined by the artist.
Entry Fees
There is a $35.00 entry fee for one to four artworks entered, presentation is by digital JPG image files. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional artwork above four. Details of 2D artwork count as an additional artwork. Sculptors may provide one additional view per artwork without cost. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind.
Image Use / Copyrights
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork.
Notification
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than September 15, 2020.
