This exhibition is a celebration of the astonishing beauty and diversity found in the animal world.
Praxis Gallery seeks the submission of photographic works that showcase animals’ inner beauty, strength, character, resiliency, and wisdom. Compassionate images of companion animals, wild animals, farm animals, insects, and fish are all heartily welcomed. Show us the very best of your furry, scaly, feathery photographs!
Images that showcase violence or inhumane treatment will not be considered. All genres, capture types, black & white and color, traditional and non-traditional processes, and digital post-production are all welcome for submission.
Guest Curator | Laura Valenti
Laura Valenti is a photographer, curator, and educator who helps people hone their vision, deepen their relationship with their craft, and make meaningful images they love. She is the founder of Light Atlas Creative, where she teaches e-courses, supports emerging photographers in her creative mentoring program, and curates’ exhibitions for galleries and photo festivals around the world. She also juries photo competitions and serves as a reviewer at national and international portfolio reviews, where she helps photographers fine-tune their vision and promote their work with confidence.
Acceptance
28 images will be selected by the curator for exhibition at Praxis Gallery. Photographers will be notified of their selection eight days after the deadline. Instructions for shipping art or online submission of hi-res artwork for print for exhibit will be included in the email acceptance notification. Accepted photographs will be posted on the Praxis website exhibition page at that time. All entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Submitted images may not have been exhibited at Praxis Gallery within the past year.
Awards
28 images will be selected by the juror for exhibition at Praxis Gallery. One Curator’s Choice and three Honorable Mentions will be awarded and featured in the exhibition, the printed show catalog, and the online exhibit gallery. Curator’s Choice will receive free entry into three juried calls for entry of their choice and a complimentary exhibit book.

- $5 for each additional image
Praxis Members receive 10 images for the price of 5 images
