Scotland.Photography is an exciting new photography competition celebrating the beauty of Scotland. Ask any photographer, in any nation, for a shortlist of countries they would like to visit and Scotland will most likely be high up on their list. Mountains, glens, lochs, castles, waterfalls, forests, coastline, history or wildlife. It’s no wonder why Scotland is such a magnet for photographers. We want to see your photos of Scotland, and then showcase the best of them for the world to enjoy.
We have deliberately set up Scotland.Photography as a not-for-profit company. We give all profits to local charities, and everyone who enters gets to choose where their money goes. We also won’t use your images for additional revenue generation such as in books, greetings cards or calendars, so you can rest assured that no one will be cashing in from your photos.
The competition is run annually, with the deadline being on the last Sunday of October each year. There is then a three week judging period to allow our professional panel to determine the top ten photos for each category. These are then showcased in the Scotland.Photography gallery for one week, where the public vote on which ones should be the winners.
We will also be showcasing other images which the judges feel are worthy of merit.
Join us in this celebration of the beauty of Scotland by sending us your photos of this ancient and mystical land. It’s easy to enter, with simple guidelines and regulations.
