Share the View International Photography Competition aims to increase appreciation of the natural world by highlighting images from outstanding nature and wildlife photographers.

The competition is open to any photographers worldwide 18 or older.

Categories

Aerial Views
Nature images from a free-flying perspective such as a plane, drone, or balloon. Capture must comply with regulations for that location.
Colorado Nature and Wildlife
The top nature or wildlife photo from Colorado as selected by the editors of Colorado Life Magazine.
Migratory Birds
Any of 1,093 species on the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Species from the list may be photographed anywhere in the world.
Ocean Life
A scene or wildlife image in an ocean environment. Nature subjects can be on, under, or above water. Oceans are defined as Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic and Southern Ocean and their direct extensions, such as seas, bays and gulfs.
Polar Regions
Wildlife or landscapes from the Arctic, Subarctic, Antarctic or Subantarctic region.
Pollinators
Show a pollinator in association with pollination and include that connection in your caption. Image examples: an insect on a flower, a hummingbird reaching into a flower with its beak, a bee with pollen collected on it’s legs. A pollinator is a species that moves pollen from the male part of a flower to the female part. Pollinators include flies, butterflies, moths, wasps, beetles, ants, birds, bats and more.
Private Lands
A nature photo taken on private land within the United States. There is no absolute requirement for the size of the landholding where the photo was taken, but generally it must be large enough to have a commonly accepted name like Zapata Ranch or Armand Bayou Nature Center. The property’s name must be included in the title or caption. The photographer must have legal access from the proper authority, but proof is not needed with entry.
Sense of Place
A wildlife subject within a scene that connects the viewer with the animal’s environment. It should speak to where the animal lives.
Urban Wildlife
Show nature’s presence in a human-made environment. Flora or fauna must be the primary interest, but human elements have to be visible. These are often in a town or city, but structures elsewhere that were created by people, such as fences, signs, roads, barbed wire, etc. are also applicable.
World Heritage Sites
A scenic or wildlife image of one of 1,121 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The site name must be included in the title or caption. Nature or wildlife must be featured.
