The award is founded and managed by the MOHO organization.
The prize awarded is of the value of €30,000.
The organization started its projects in the field of contemporary art in 2009. On the occasion of its tenth year of activity it established the MOHO award, dedicated to visual artists with less than 50 years.

For the prize awarded to the entire artistic production there are no limits on the number of works, theme, technique or size.
For the individual project award, the series or artistic project must consist of at least three works.
Participation allowed to artists under 50 years old.
