Deadline: June 30, 2019
Entry fee: £2
Prizes: Valuable Prizes, Participation in the Online Exhibition, Promotion
The competition is open to anyone over 18, amateur or professional, and the cost to enter is £2 per photo.
We want to see your best street photography, whether it was taken on digital, film or mobile.
Co-sponsored by Leica USA, Tenba and GNARBOX.
In 2017 we established the SPi Awards, an international photography competition offering top prizes and exposure for a minimal entry fee.
Concerned that the high level of entry fees charged by many competitions excludes a huge number of talented photographers from around the world from entering, we set a price of £2 per picture.
By reducing the barrier to entry, we hope to attract a greater representation of photographers regardless of economic status, location, ethnicity, race or gender.
Our aim with the SPi Awards is to showcase some of the best street photography being produced in the world, past or present, and to represent the wide diversity of styles within the genre.
Sponsored by Olympus in 2017 and Leica in 2018, our winners both had solo exhibitions in London and received high end cameras. We also select twenty finalists each year. Their work forms a separate group exhibition, and they receive runners up prizes.
The 2019 SPi Awards sponsored by Flickr will be open for entries from Sunday April 28th until Sunday 30th June (12 midnight GMT).
