If you’re aged between 12-19 years old this competition is made for you!
Each month you can submit up to three images relating to a specific theme. They’ll be seven competitions, with seven separate themes, to inspire you.
Each competition starts on the first and ends on the last day of that month. The more competitions you enter, the greater the chance you have of being awarded Youth Photographer of the Year, as the seven monthly winners will then compete to win the prestigious title.

Rather than limiting this month’s competition to a single theme, we’re asking you to enter your favorite photographs taken in 2019. You can submit up to three photographs depicting any subject matter, shot in any style and on any device. So what are you waiting for? You’ve got until December 31 to enter your best architecture, portrait, documentary, wildlife, landscape. street images – to name just a few!
Select your favorite single images from the past year and share them with the judges. The jury will consider all photographic styles and topics, but are looking for standout works that catch their eye and imagination.
One winner and a shortlist will be announced on the World Photography Organisation’s social media and the winner will also be featured on our weekly newsletter. Share your images with us on Instagram by using the hashtag #youthofswpa.
