London Business School (LBS) is one of the world’s elite business schools. It shapes business practice and transforms careers across the globe. Its academic strength drives original and provocative business thinking, empowering its people to challenge conventional wisdom in a truly unique academic environment.
The LBS Photography Awards are an annual contest that aim to inspire photographers, creative thinkers and businesses from around the globe to think about their lasting impact on the world. The Awards champion photography that challenges commonly held perceptions of environmental, social and economic issues and aim to shine a light on the ways that business shapes the lives of individuals, communities and the environment.
This is an open call for submissions from professional and amateur photographers aged 18 or over. Both UK based and international photographers are welcome to enter. We accept entries that have been entered into other contests or previously published.
When Worlds Collide will highlight the power of business innovation to join together previously disconnected ideas. A starting point for the broadest range of creative interpretations, this could showcase diverse groups coming together in friction or harmony or consider human interaction with the natural world.
The jury will look for strong photographic stories – a series of between 5 and 10 images – that present a powerful, fresh perspective on the theme.
The shortlisted photographers will be exhibited at LBS’s London campus, where the winner will be formally announced as part of the exhibition’s opening night on 8 May 2019.
